You can create menus that allow users to select/deselect roles on their own. You can edit the menu by right-clicking the message and going to Apps -> Edit.

Role select menus allow users to select roles from the list and have them automatically given to the user. If set to single, only one role from the menu can be held at a time. If set to multiple, the user can select as many roles as they can from the list. If an already held role is selected, it will be removed.
